What's going on with my render?

So... I've spent the whole day solving this problem and I really don't know how to fix it. I can't say it's noise because it's not present in the render at all. Fireflies? That won't be it either. They are simply "white dots" but not like I have seen in other posts. Specifically, I stopped rendering this image after approximately 48 min - 8628 iterations. One render had a little over 25,000, but it still didn't disappear. These dots, or whatever you want to call them, appear in places where there is no light. I know other people's opinions about how to illuminate the scene completely, then reduce the light through Photoshop and the like, but I simply don't want to. If I build a scene, I want to render it as I build it. I enjoy the "dark render". It has a good atmosphere, the details I want stand out and I'm not interested in changing my idea just because something is obviously not working right here.

Any idea how to fix this? I render via GPU (iRay) - RTX 3060 12GB. What I noticed is that, for example, Denoiser removes this problem completely, but with specific colors of light, some characters / objects create "light spots", which I don't think anyone wants

Thanks for any advice!

does it do that with CPU render? if it doesnt, it's a problem with your GPU.

I tried that and apart from the fact that the rendering was slower, there was no difference.

  • I have no idea - it is ifficult to guess anything because the image is not showing much.

What do you mean by "white dots"? I see a brighter shaded area at the top left and a less bright area at the right bottom but no individual dots.

Can you post something that shows more of the scene?

Is the area far away from the scene center?

What is the lighting - hdr environment, DS lights, emissive geometry? Where are the lights positioned?

Do the walls (I guess those black areas are walls?) are thin planes? Are there gaps between the walls?

I already solved it. It looks like the source of the problem is the white color on some objects. I found quite a few posts on google that solved the same problem as me, and basically it was enough to turn the light a little differently and change the color of some objects.

But where you solve one problem, another one appears. I don't understand why, but for some reason objects in my timeline are being moved. Frame 0 is all fine, frame 1 are specific objects moved as if to the default position, probably to the center of the scene, where they shouldn't be. This is currently probably the worst thing that I would like to solve. I've been looking at the forum and see that this is a problem since version 4.12
