Another vendor shout out, this time to ManFriday

I bought ManFriday's Mesh Puller suite for Mac and had a little bit of time to use it before the big, long, dark Mac/Studio incompatibility interlude. There was no way I was going to buy the Windows version. I'm not now nor will I ever be a Windows user. So the suite languished and unused until recently when I remembered I had it and needed it for a project.

I've gotta say, this is rapidly becoming one of my favorite tools for creating realism. Not having to export to different software, re-import back into Studio, then reinstall relevant morphs, yada, yada, is a huge time saver and headache eliminator. It's also proving to be very useful for doing a lot of things that dForce can't or won't.

So, to ManFriday, a big thumbs up and thank you for developing these tools and especially for making them available to Mac users!

Oh, I bought this too a while back as it seemed like a helpful thing to have but kinda forgot about it as I haven't got round to doing anything that adventurous yet. Are you able to share/post any of the renders you have made for it? It seems that Daz-Deals isn't able to find any gallery entries that use it so it would be cool to have some more inspiration! :)

Just had a private convo with him and asked about more additions.  They are on the list, like smoothing and symmetry options.  I also suggested to have a way to turn down the transparency of the widgets for easier to see on areas without turning off the widgets completely!  Here's hoping!

Mostly I'm finding it useful to apply tweaks to clothing where an entire dForce simulation isn't necessary or won't work well. Just a small tweak to a particular part of the cloth where the drape isn't quite right. I also think that it could be very useful in helping conform props and clothing that were made for earlier genesis figures that don't conform well to newer figures, like a holster that bends with the shape of the thigh or an arrow quiver and strap for, say genesis 3 that when applied to genesis 8 don't follow and conform correctly.

I may take some time away from creating scenes to just try these things out as sort of self tutorials. Normally, one would have to export to something like Blender to makes these tweaks. That's a pain and I'm hardly a Blender guru. I'm just beginning to scratch the surface of how to use it.

    Love MeshGrabber.
    I use it for everything.
Creating subtle imperfections in walls, objects, dirt, people, etc...
