Looking for outfits and materials HofD style

I've been putting off watching House of the Dragon because I'm still hurting about GoT season 8...it's petty I know...but I've been looking at images from the show and I think the costumes in HotD far better than GoT and I'm wondering what do we have to render that is like those gorgeous outfits. Not just for female figures but I would love to see more male content using the similar styles for the guys on the show, and I would like to see more dresses that match what the women wore in HotD. I think they are elegant and with dforce ability, they would rock in renders! I know there are a few gowns out there for the medieval period, like OutOfTouch has a few items. I'm wondering if anyone has found others? Also fabric materials, anyone have any suggestions? I love this time period and I don't think I have enough of it in my runtime.

Your emotional response to season 8 (and in my opinion, season 7, as well) is not petty, it is justified. But that's another story :)
In any case, I think you'll probably want to jump into the Marvelous Designer world. In my opinion, the average MD asset is much more like the best of the Daz Studio assets. It takes some doing to export, and it's not free, but I really think you'll desire access to the MD world... its quality and breadth is generally better, and most importantly, there are many more options for fabtasy style outfits that have not been sexualized to the point of uselessness.
I wasn't a fan of seasons 7 or 8 either, but I loved HotD. I rarely sit down and watch a show the night it hits, but I was right there every week. And yes, the costumes and art direction are stunning. I'm sorry though, I don't have any suggestions though for clothing here on the site or anywhere, just wanted to say that the show was a great watch.
I hated what GoT became. HotD isn't bad, but it doesn't have the same pull factor for me as GoT did (...talking about earlier seaons before they went completely off-book). My husband won't even watch HotD...he tried, but he said it was boring beyond belief and I'm honestly not completely disagreeing with him...though I was able to stick it out. I do think the action will pick up with Season 2. The artistic "choice" of making the show so visibly dark you can't see anything in a lot of (important) scenes is just mind-numbingly stupid to me. "Oh, but here are some recommended viewing settings for your TV..." Um, no I'm not changing the settings on my perfectly fine 4k OLED because you "artistically chose" to edit the scenes to be almost completely black even when viewed in a dark room at night. Kthanks.
That being said...tho you may find pieces here and there that you can kitbash...I think you'll be hard-pressed to find anything with the level of detail you're looking for. The dresses. The hair. The armor. Like I said pieces here and there and you'll need to manually edit them and kitbash them into something that might have a semblance of the theme you're looking for. Out of the box? Nope.
Don't have any costume ideas, but give HoD a go. I think it does start out slow, but that's normal there's new characters and a new story arc that the writers need to introduce us to. Both the story and action pick up and is worth watching. We enjoyed the first season.
House of the Dragon is far superior to seasons seven and eight of Game of Thrones. The show was beautifully filmed; scenes looked like paintings in motion, but that's it. Cinema without story is just spectacle. The first season of House of the Dragon will be a little jarring, because (MINOR SPOILERS STARTS) of the massive time jumps. I would recommend becoming attached to characters rather than the actors. Actors get swapped out age reasons. It's like The Crown on fast forward. (MINOR SPOILERS ENDS) They also have a plot thread throughout season one as a call back to Game of Thrones, and I was just rolling my eyes at it--thinking, "Stop mentioning that part of Game of Thrones."
As for the fashion. You really can find any dress here in the store and turn it into a medieval-themed attire for House of the Dragon. Michele Clapton, lead custome designer for Game of Thrones, had a cohesive vision for Westerosi fashion. You could look at a gown and know it was worn in King's Landing or Highgarden or Sunspear. Basic silhouette for a region plus variations so it doesn't all look uniform. House of the Dragon's costume designer really just throws any renfair style at the wall to see what sticks. Some of the costumes are just badly tailored. It's one of my least favorite parts of the show. I'm not trying to be mean against this show's costume designer; it just lacks focus and cohesion. The primary focus of the show's fashion is the house colors and sigil (Targaryens in blacks/reds, Hightowers in greens/grays, Velaryons in silvers/blues).

Good luck with the renders and I hope you enjoy the show!
