Thank you Sickleyield

I just did my first G9 geograft this morning, I approached it with the same dread and apprehension that hangs over me every time I try to create a fresh one.

You see, I spent years trying to figure out how to geograft, every attempt a failure, and I still haven't shaken the anxiety.

But I can do it now.  I can do it because Sickle took the time to teach me back when I was working on Sobek for G8.

Thank you Sickleyield.

  • I have learned much from Sickleyield's tutorials, so would second that,  like I'm sure many here would too.

Your work always inpires me so thank you also.

So many people in this community are willing to give their time to help others and also deserve thanks too :)

I'm still scared of geografts, but Sickleyield has helped me conquer many other Daz fears & introduced me to 7-zip & gave me ideas of how to organise my 3rd party content & how to fit heels across generations & provided my favourite water shaders and props, etc.

    Is it nipples?

I have to thank Sickleyield as well for all kinds of useful tutorials and also for all ShareCG freebies I probably forgot to thank her for.

I respect SYs tutorials so much that I had them in my signature for the longest, as well as Mec4D, Carnite and now Mada's tutorials, which are the best around, sucks that Daz got rid of Jen? (I think it was) that used to do video tutorials for them.

It is too rare that you get a video tutorial that DOESN'T feature endless monotone droning on and on about the minutiae of every SINGLE definition and historical-effin'- origin of every feature with a lengthy introduction into each step, (As well as the idiotic fumbling around the bloody program in real-feffin' time!) as to completely bloat the running time well past its own usefulness!

So a “quick step-by-step” that should take a few minutes ends up taking 20-30! Sure there's a sh-tonne of useful info to be had, but it ceases to be a tutorial, and more of an overview of the features and methodologies of the program, and how to utilise them! smileycheeky

Same from me, I learned from a SY tutorial how to port morphs from G3 to G8 without any tools and with virtually no deformations. Also, I just LOVE all the fun and useful SY products, they're always made with so much consideration. So thanks from here, too,  and please keep going!

SickleYield and Mada are both excellent and very generous instructors who have been helping us for a long time now. Add me to the list of grateful Daz users.

Me too, thank you @Sickleyield and @Mada for the tips and tutorials. They were very useful to me to understand daz studio and also to help Thomas with diffeomorphic.

Sobek is a great character so thanks to both SickleYield & JoeQuick.

  • I love her tutorials! My learning curve for DS, lighting, anything related is...not spectacular, and many, many tutorials had left me more confused, until I discovered Sickleyield's. (Thanks also to whoever pointed me to those.)

She's always helpful. A couple years ago I was thinking of buying the Battleworn Bot for G3F/G8F and posted some questions I had here. It's not one of her products but she took the time to answer me. I ended up buying it & it's still a favorite of mine.

I would like to associate my name with the remarks of the avatar known as JoeQuick.  I have benefited mightily from the lessons offered by SY, both free and paid.  Always informative; always practical.  I hope SY can overlook my weak implementation of such amazing insights.  Long live the Gecko.

Sickleyield's products, PDFs and tutorials are like the salt of the earth for my 3D hobby. I don't know what I'd do without them. Thank you very much!

oh hey - I got a mention :D glad the tutorials are useful. I totally agree about Sickleyield tutorials - super helpful and easy to use. Thank you!

After rebuilding my D|S files too many times, there are some PAs whom I have on my immediate load list after the basic program and plug-ins and that is SickleYield. Her work is so broad, along with her collaborations with others, have been so useful I have come to depend for them. And like others, the formal tutorials and the drop-ins on the forums to help others, well, I can't say how much they have helped.

  • One of SY's tutorials gave me the confidence to try rigging props. And after 10 released rigged freebies there are about 4500 rigged models in people's content that couldn't be there without her tutorials. Not saying the models are used, just that they exist. wink

Definitely qualifies for a huge thank-you.

    Regards,

    Richard.
