THANKS, DAZ for the forum fix!
I actually did not notice it as it now resembles normal forum behaviour, that behaviour you ask?
I don't have to constantly log back in even when the “keep me logged in” option is checked, as the option was completely non-functional IE; abnormal forum behaviour!
Thanks, Daz for finally fixing that irritating bug!

I noticed the forums now give real-time response notifications. Not bad!
I think they implemented them before the incessant log-off fix, but still, I'm glad the forum upgrade/fix is being addressed!

Did you try clearing cookies for daz3d.com, etc...?
Win 10 2h21 64/Vivaldi… Yeah, that sucks, mystery had a point, you should try clearing the cookies if you haven't done so already…
nice only took them about a decade
...but did they fix the 502/504 bad gateway issue yet?
Nope
So far, I've been staying loged in, no gateway errors either. *crosses fingers*
This is usually a result of data speed issues between the DAZ Servers and whatever specific Cloudflare server you're going through, which may not be something that DAZ3D has any control over.

...but it's still most annoying and most other companies around the globe have solved their issues by now...
Annoy is too mild a descriptor, I prefer irritating-infuriating! And yeah this forum is quite unique as it's a little too custom-made, as I don't believe there's a standardised forum template, as the issues are too unique in nature!
Nope. It happened twice for me last night. And I get pop ups to subscribe every 2 minutes on the sales pages.
It always shows the problem is on Daz's end, not mine.
All it shows is that the issue is between the cloudflare server and the daz website. That does not automatically mean that DAZ3D can fix the problem if it's at a point between the two.
Now I'm getting signed out a lot... Megh.
Actually I noticed this behavior... In Safari using iOS, even if I don't get signed out, sometimes when I use the back button after looking at a thread, the screen will blank for a second as if it's reloading and then fade a bit with the "Wait a second, sighing in" message (or whatever it says).
I always sign in to the store first, after that I'm never signed out from the forums as long as the store login is active. Using Firefox in Windows, not sure if that matters.
The Cloudflare report always puts the failure on DAZ's servers...
You: Browser (working) -> Network: Cloudflare (working) -> www.daz3d.com: Host (error)
Exactly. I've just had two in a row and it is really annoying. I read somewhere (here on this forum) that DAZ will need to replace the forum software to fix it so that does not suggest a Cloudflare problem. Besides, Cludflare is used by many, many huge online entities without any issues and, just from personal experience, DAZ is the only - yes the ONLY - site that I have a problem reaching.
...you're right, happened twice in the span of less than an hour.
...interesting that on other sites which use Cloudflare whichI frequent, this doesn't happen, just here. That would say it's on Daz's end.
I'm not saying it's a Clouflare problem; I'm saying that the "gateway" may not be a server that's directly under DAZ3D's control.
In all fairness, don't forget that Bert, the Server Hamster is very old and has died several times, only to be resuscitated and immediately returned to his treadmill... for a discarded, narcoleptic, non-adorable entry level hamster who's been doing the work of 12 medium duty Guinea Pigs (or one early 80s refurbished Soviet era power supply) he's actually not doing such a bad job... when he does die for good, we are all screwed, but till then... credit where credit is due.
HA, Just had a 503 just sitting there, I didn't even have to navigate to any pages before it went poof!
I actually think the crashes and sign outs increased over the last four days...
I just got signed out again
In and out so far this morning. Daz dance getting tired.
It's a bit weird though, that I - from my memory - never a cloudflare problem resulting in these 503/504 errors with any other server than DAZland's.. so IF it's not DAZland's server that is causing the problem, they should contact their provider to check if their routing could be handled differently?!? Of course it's easier to ignore the problem and leave a possible solution to someone else...
