Inconsistent CMS error

Ok so this is a common error for people... getting "A valid PostgreSQL CMS connection could not be established. Several DAZ Studio features that require a valid PostgreSQL CMS connection, such as context aware conent views..." etc. 

 

I get it.... sometimes. Maybe half the time when I open Daz. I'm not moving any stuff around, all my content is on an external drive, I'm working on a Mac. Sometimes I can restart my computer and it fixes it, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I can quit Daz, eject the external drive, reinsert it, restart Daz and it will fix it, sometimes it doesn't. Can someone explain to me what is going on?

    Have you closed a previouss ession, or Install Manager/Connect, just before starting (re)Daz Studio, when you get the warning?

    Sometimes it is the first time I open it in a given day, some times it isn't. Today I opened DazStudio for the first time and got the error, and DIM isn't open. Yesterday it happened when it wasn't my first session, and DIM was open. There doesn't seem to be a link between those things.
