Request: Option to load store pages with "Hide Filters" already on.

I have a 4 x 3 video screen, not 16 x 9. So when I load a Daz store page, the filters on the left edge push some control items off the right edge of the screen.

I can click on the "Hide Filters" to fix this.

But I have to do it every time another store page loads!

The filters are great. And having them load in by default is a good idea for letting us users learn about their availability.

But now that I have so learned about their availability, I want them to go away until I want to use them!

  • It would be nice to see this, but I'm not going hold my breath. So many people have 16:9 or even 21:9 displays these days that web store software probably doesn't have the option to set this up.

The site is made for Mobiles so if you pull the browser window in and make it narrower they eventually close and appear at the top of the page as a drop down menu :)

Ya. Dinosaurs like me with their 4x3 displays get designed out of the user experience parameters.

Well, shrinking the width of my browser window is certainly a way to move the filter menu out of the left side. It works when I shrink the width to about 80%.

But this too is certainly less than an ideal solution.

So ya. I'm just a dinosaur that interface designers don't care about.

  • I thought this thread was about filters to hide things, Like hide older assets instead of include only assets, if you understand what I mean.
