How to create a UV Set .duf file?

Hi All,

I need to alter the UVs for a given GeoShell. I did that in Blender. I have loaded the UV Map successfully into DAZ Studio and can use it on the isolated GeoShell (i.e. no other objects in the scene)

Now I want to make this particular UV Map a selectable option in the UV dropdown menu. For that I assume I need to store it in a .duf file like the default custom UV of said GeoShell. When I try exporting it via "UV Presents", it tells me that no saveable UVs are applied to the object. If I use the non-depreciated "UV Assets" option, it allows me to select my UV Set and it creates a folder in my DAZ hierarchy, but the folder is empty - no file gets generated!

So how would the correct process of creating a .duf file for a UV Set look like? Every GeoShell package does that but I can't find any tutorials on this topic...

Any help is appreciated

  • You need to load it as a new UV Set via the Surfaces pane oprtion menu - the lined/hamburger button in the top corner or right-click the tab - and then save it as an asset (File>Save As>Support Assets>UV Assets). It is vital that the vertex and polygon order have remained the same during import/export.
