Has anyone heard if there is going to be furniture for these wood buildings???  What kind of furniture would be appropriate?  I want to fill my buildings... but with what???

The ROG Fantasy series provides great looking fantasy props (at least they look great on the promo renders, I have none of them) smiley

They are wonderful and worth saving up for the purchase of the sets.

    agreed... wishlisted myself too ;)

I still feel as those houses are not particulary Northern European hence lacking of chimneys, more fantasy like and a warmer climate, wicker furniture could work with leopard skin rugs etc

while the PA has Northern Houses too they also have reed huts

Gonna have to check my rugs... seems I have some animal skins in my runtime... somewhere... I remember a bear rug... hum... Wicker may be good too... Thanks for the suggestion Wendy :)

If you mean the lack of nipples, well that screenshot is taken from the clay render for the character - if you look at the textured pics they are present. This is the norm for Genesis 9 - no modelled nipples, all shape and texture coming from the texture maps.

On the other hand, if you are talking about the pecs shape, then yeah OK.

I'm talking about the shapes, how it's concave in one spot, flat in another and then has defined between and under cleavage.

Thank goodness for 3rd party addons and other stores to carry the ball for DAZ, LOL

I picked up the red crow tavern early, though I had to wait to actually render it until I had a stronger computer with a decent  video card. There are small prop collections in there made of wood and metal that can span multiple eras and genres. Very useful set.  And a very nice freplace fire

Thanks FirstBastion... Wishlisted (sighs)... You'd think with ALL the content I have in my runtime I'd have something suitable...lol.  I'll keep looking... I have a LOT to look through.  ;)

    'Medieval Handkart' by Monyto

The cart really looks very, very good! I'm thinking of buying it. But then I would need a shader for these potatoes, because:  IN THE MIDDLE AGES THERE WERE NO POTATOES IN EUROPE!!! This is already the 3rd or 4th version of medieval market stalls or carts that makes these mistakes (by the way: why do we actually need so many medieval market carts? Are these the new bus stops?)

Anyway: tomatoes, corn, peppers, chillies, pineapples, turkey and pumpkins, to name the most important ones, did not exist yet either. All this was cultivated by the Native Americans and therefore only came to Europe AFTER 1492, i.e. after the first modern contact of the Europeans with the Americans. By then, however, the Middle Ages were already over. Just in case a PA should get the idea of putting oranges, mandarins and grapefruit on a 'medieval' market cart instead: These fruits originated in Asia and were not available in Europe until the 15th/16th century at the earliest, and initially only in Portugal.

Dear PAs, if you venture into historical topics, just do a little research beforehand. And the quality control at Daz should also have at least a minimal knowledge of history. Or do you want to end up with the infamous Hollywood 'Caesar with a wristwatch'?  ;-)

turnips, parsnips, leeks and artichokes obviously don't appeal to the PAs devil

Can't say, apart from Parsnips and occsionally Turnips, that they appeal to me either.

    Richard

Thank you. I was wondering if I would have to take a sword hit again or not, because I brought it up the last time. I have bags of other veggies to put in its place. Or maybe a child sitting there?

PAs, onions and apples are good substitutes, used for many things in Northern Europe.

The cart is great, the poses are a fantastic idea - kudos for that.

ROG products are very good quality so if the style is your thing then they are worth it.

Good to see the Kadis armor updated for G8 and G9. It's a very complex set and scripted converters do not handle its G3 version well.

Sucks to be a PA in DAZland frown No wonder many PAs don't visit the forums

  • I'm not sure if there are enough Daz historical Medieval assets to deeply care about having inaccuracies in market carts.

You are not getting historical photorealism with Daz anyway.

Maybe they could have called it Medieval Fantasy Handkart to mix in the non-medieval food choices? :)

I *think* Predatron's Medieval Roadside Merchant Stalls has the collect foods. You could use the cart for someone to bring those foods to the stall (or fill it with other stuff).

Apart from those orange carrots devil

  • To be fair, as pointed out in one of the last conversations about historical accuracy and the "medieval" this-that-and-the-other assets - some of these are perfectly usable if not in whole at least for kitbashing for times and places other than medieval UK/Europe.

Orange carrots could be found in the 1400s Europe, just not as common as today:

Actually the cart is not bad. The large number of nails does stand out and the way the sections of the wheel are tied together, otherwise it's believable although I think any self respecting blacksmith/carpenter would have used boards of similar length on the sides. The best thing is that it looks used in a realistic manner.

Especially as, if caesar means Julius, the Pantheon wasn't built until Hadrian's reign.

Another nice one but that seems a "mutant Tauren" other than Minotaur as it has the feet of human being. devil

Lol, yeah. In fairness, there's nothing about a "minotaur" in the actual product name or the description, so it was slapped on by marketing.

Sorry, I don't make it to this thread often.

Tauran isn't supposed to be a classical minotaur, simply more of an Anthro-Bull creature, for fantasy or sci-fi or other such imaginings.

I bought the Iray Interior Speed Lights. The only documentation in the product is a single TIP file. It refers to a "culling slider added to the camera". I can't find any such slider. Does anyone know where it is?

are you able to load the culling camera?  It is basically a camera with section panes attached.
