Hi,
what's going on with Winter Beaches 08 https://www.daz3d.com/ultrahd-iray-hdri-with-dof--winter-beaches There's a black blob in the background. It's obviously a really shoddy cover up of something but, common, you couldn't have covered it better. I've had this a while and not used it often and when I have tended to use the other direction but, I was just looking around it with nothing in the scene and noticed the blob. Really? I see in the promo you can see it too.

Yep, just looked at the product page and you can see it in the background. Rather unprofessional IMO, especially for that price. Thanks for pointing it out, will have to pass on getting this product.
You're welcome. I just fixed it myself in photoshop. It wasn't easy because it's HDR and I couldn't use the usual methods I use but, with quite a bit of patience and lots of layers I did fix it. If you don't have a good photo editing tool like photoshop that will handle 32 bit files then you're left with a blob. Sadly TOS won't let me share the fix.
Next time, the PA'll know fishermen like fishing in the early ours.
Please open a support ticket.
Thanks but, honestly, I don't waste my efforts anymore. I've never raised a ticket and got a result. I can't believe I'm the first person to see that big blob I figured it would be fixed if the PA wanted it fixed.
More likely they all just sigh and find some way to fix it. Buying HDRIs is always a mixed bag to begin with, and I've lost track of the ones that have chromatic abberations, soft or out of focus areas, reversed lettering on signage, etc. This is just one of the many reasons that I rarely bother trying to acheive everything in-render these days, as there's more likely to be something that will have to be fixed in post than not, and Photoshop is a far quicker and more versatile tool than DS.
