How to add a character in daz studio

Hi guys I have made few characters in daz and saved them and i have a different set of enviornment. I am having some trouble adding my premade character to my enviornment I am merging both of them by  clicking merge.  Although it works but it changes everything like all my render settings that I made all my hdri and things like that and as well as it is unusable in texture shaded mode it starts to lack alot and stops responding sometimes. I have a 12600k and a 3060ti so i dont think my system is a problem here.  Is there any other way to add characters in a scene that will be helpful. Thanks.

Did you save a scene or scene subset? If those include the settings nodes for Environemnt and/or tone mapping then they will load with the character and replace the existing serttings. Try loading the characters into a blank scene, File>Save As>Scene Subset, and use the option menu to exclude the settings nodes.
