Dress shift on import

I bridge a model of GENESIS or GENESIS2Female to Hecxigon 2.5

I make a dress out of a cylinder. Everything looks great.

I saexport as an *.obj and also SEND TO DAZ,

Either way, on first import, it looks great. Fits to a T,

but when  PARENT and/or use the Transfer Untility, it will shift the dress up the Y axis, so that now it is off by about 3 inches and looks horrible.

Is there some step I'm missing? I've tried to unpartent and move it down, but can't seem to do so.

Also, I tried shifting it UP the Y axis in Hecigon, but to no avail

Any help GREATLY appreciated

thanks

Make sure you turn off any scaling before sending the figure.

I was noticing a peculiarity with hair on G3 the other day doing that too ... had to load the .obj, "parent it" in place, THEN make the figure. Figure is somehow then created to be "parented in place".
