Posing question

I just started really working with 9, and the rigging on the thing is confusing as hell. And Powerpose, which is my favorite tool, seems busted. I go to grab the arm and get one of the twist things instead.

Would somebody explain what the two different twist sliders per limb are for? They obviously do something, but I have no idea what.

On the other hand, the expressions are amazing. And the faces are terrific. I realize I just need to get used to posing with it, but the frustration factor is kinda high.

  • I too have been so curious as to why there are two twists for each limb. When I saw that, I tried to twist my upper and lower limbs separately that way separately and couldn't lol. So I'm very curious about the decision to give unnecessary twists, but do nothing in terms of fixing the rig for proper IK capability.

  • Use the Twist control on the Upper Arm bone, it will drive the two twist bones in the correct (intended) ratio.

So the upper arm twist controls the forearm? I'm not sure what you mean here please.

  • Sorry, I was confused by too quick a reading of the second post. The same applies to the forearm, use the forearm bone and it will adjust the Forearm twish bones as needed. You might want to tweak them slithly after that, which I imagine is why they aren't hidden, but primarily it is intended that you use the main bone rather than one of its child twist bones.
