Daz Studio Crashing during Iray Preview or randomly (Daz Studio 4.16.0.3)
Hey folks I'm having this weird issue where Daz is crashing randomly or during iray preview and gives the following error
DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispsig.inf_amd64_145fe9c72c40de0a\nvoglv64.dll" at 0033:0000000050F82A29, DrvPresentBuffers()+159929 byte(s)
or the Viewport lags heavily and then it goes into preparing scene loop in smooth shaded mode
My Daz Studio Version is 4.16.0.3
I've tried installing the latest Nvidia drivers, windows updates, etc. nothing worked.
I've attached the log file as well
one other thing that started with this crashing is that my display flickers randomly even when not using Daz studio
my gpu is not used for even a full year yet.
Help would be very appreciated
My pc specs are:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
32GB RAM
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550M-A WIFI II
GPU: ASUS TUF GAMING RTX 3060 12 GB

Try removing the OOT hair from the scene and see if it will render.
edit: I just saw you are using DS 4.16.0.3 the OOT bug I refer to is actaully in the current beta, so most likely not effecting you.
If your display if flickering, you've most likely got something hardware going on.
Check the cables.
Power cable for the monitor is pluged in correctly and not loose.
GPU to Display and also the power cable connected to the GPU.
Check that the GPU is mounted correctly on the motherboard and is fully inserted into the slot and the lock is holding it in.
Check that the screws( or whatever mounting solution your case uses) holding the GPU in place on the rerar of the case are tight and are actually holding the GPU in place.
Check that the motherboard socket isn't damaged. i.e. the GPU is loose or "sloppy" fit.
I checked all the cables yesterday everything was fitted fine, as for the GPU being fitted properly I didn't check the slot itself but I think it is fitted properly.
Does that motherbaod have onboard graphics?
Can you switch monitor cable over to it and see if the flickering stops?
I have a breakfast date and will be leaving soon.
I'll check back when I get back in.
The display didn't flicker on the microsoft basic display when I uninstalled the gpu driver and checked it.
I've had this happen to me when a Windows update didn't go well.
With the monitor flickering and apps crashing
The way I fixed was;
open an admin command prompt and type in
sfc /scannow
press enter
This will find/repair the broken Windows files. Let this finish then reboot
Then use DDU to uninstall your GPU driver
Install you GPU driver using the official Nvidia instller and reboot.
See if that works.
nope tried it
the sfc scan didn't find any errors
I installed the latest driver with ddu
still the same error
From your log, one thing jumped out. You have only 13GB's free on C-drive with the temp and cache, that may be the culprit.
If you had a bigger C-drive, I would have recommended to have at least 100GB's free on it
