What about the "Manifest" file?

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I have a freebie by Mec4D for her Mullet Hair for the genesis 2 males. There's not DIM, so I'm trying to install it by hand. I can see where everything goes, except for the last file, which is something like "manifest.dsx." Where do I place the manifest file? I'm on a Macintosh, if that makes a difference.

    Not needed, that's the instructions that tell DIM how to install it.

    That was probably one of the first ones packaged to be usable with the DIM...

    OK, but what do I do with the "Manifest.dsx" file? Do I need to install it, if I'm installing by hand, and, if so, where? I'm trying to upload a screen shot. That file is outside of the "Content" folder. Within the Content folder, are all the files needed for the freebie. OOPS! OK, I see above: Not needed. So, I can just ignore it. OK, thank you very much.
