How to hack the window disabling click on the viewport?

There are products helping to pose.
Usually there's a window with a bunch of sliders to pose the bones.
But there's one problem.
I can't click on the viewport unless that window is closed.
I can't rotate the scene to look from other angle.
Is there a way to hack this ?

D/S does one thing at a time. When a plugin is activated yes, those actions have to be done, the plugin closed, and one can proceed.

It might be helpful to use a multiple pane view though.

Might be easier to use multiple views.png

  • What do you mean by window? A pane (which is usually non-modal, it may get in the way but it won't block clicks) or a dialogue (which is modal, the rest of the application is inaccessible until it is closed)? It sounds, from the comment about sliders, as if you mean the Parameters pane or one of its derivatives (such as Posing) but those are non-modal.

Well, it's like a pane. But modal.

    Like the Ultimate Pose Master.

  • And that opens automatically?

Click the script and a window with all the controllers/slider appear.

Until I finish work with it and close it. I can't click the scene in anyway.

I think it's just how Catherine describe, it just how DAZ works currently.
But I'm Thinking, if DAZ can have sort of panes that still enable user to click the scene when it's open, so why not the additional products?
That's why I asked, is there a way to hack it?

  • Yes, scripts are generally modal (blocking) if they open any kind of UI.

AFAIK all plugins are encrypted and no, we cannot hack them. If one has the time, etc., one can learn how to make plugins and make a new one however D/S5 is somewhere on the horizon with a totally different motor so might want to hold off on that project ;-)

Maybe put a suggest in the Product Suggestions WITH the name of the PA in the post [linked if they are in the forums so they would be notified] so maybe they can know this feature is desired.
