HI

can anyone tell me can i put daz studio and everything on a ex hard drive portable and have all models pointing to that drive

i have no more room on my c drive .

    It's certainly possible to have all your content ie "My Daz3D Library" on an external drive. My content drive works fine connected by USB 3.0.

    Studio is probably best kept on C: though

    I've had my content on external drives for years. In fact, I have libraries on two different externals ATM :) What are you using to install the files? Connect, DazCentral or Daz Install Manager?

    seconding willowfan.

    you can install your content library on an external HD, no problem.  just make sure to set the correct file path in DIM (if you use it) and studio.

    best to leave the daz studio app (and the program files associated with it) on your C drive, though.
