flashback going offline:computer failure

My computer died yesterday. Not completely sure what the problem is yet. It started with a random restart. System wouldn't boot to the hard drive. I booted with the Win7 install disk but the diagnostics couldn't find a problem. Now the dvd drive won't boot. "no bootable device found" and it went downhill from there......

I'm thinking motherboard failure at this point but any suggestions would be helpful. I'm on a friend's compy at the moment and don't know when I'll get to check online again but I'll try and check back soon.

    Oh NO!!! :down: So sorry to hear this!

    My goodness...this seems to be turning into an epidemic! You're like the third person in as many days that I have heard had this happen! Hope you get it fixed up soon! *hugs*

    Thanks Jasmine, my mother has loaned me some of the funds needed. I'll be getting a new motherboard, cpu and ram. Will probably replace the case fans too, just in case. the total cost looks to be around $450.
    Going crazy without my Daz fix every day. :(
