PBR Validation

PBR Validation I have been experimenting with PBR texture and was wondering if someone would test them. Then, you can keep that texture and use them. Think of them as CC

I'm doing a stone wall, also.

I will post them here for testing.

Hey man. Would it not be wise to mention that that link is a OneDrive shortcut link?

  • Hey everyone, it's like what inception8 said. Now that you mention it, is it a bad thing to do? Did the zip download?

Zip starts downloading immediately on clicking the link. Thank you :-)

Let me know how they look. One has different tiling; the second is a closeup.

First time messing with PBR textures. I hope you can put them to good use. Now I got to try humanoid. That might take awhile.

  • Haven't had time yet to try them out on various models but the textures themselves look fine. How they would look on models also depends upon the uvmapping of the models.

True, and that was what I was waiting on to see if they worked not much into modeling. Doing textures was my thing. This is my first at trying to do PBR textures. They should be seamless.

Well it's large enough one does not have to tile it for everything.

Here is my example for those unaware of how important uvmaps are, to the effects they have on textures. Texture image is not tiled.

Nice cobblestones would be a neat addition ;-)

  • I experimented with tiling it with some utilities I had in DAZ. It looks good.

  • Yes something like that. Could the stones be more rounded?

  • I'll See what I can do.

  • Thank you :-)

Looks like the normal map is inverted - even with fresh pointing, the mortar is generally concave.

Standard brick height is 65mm (2 5⁄8 inch) so others would be advised to bear that in mind when adjusting tiling.
