Pose Companion vs Pose Converter?

Can someone please explain the difference between these two products and the advantage of one over the other? Thanks.

The top one simply allows you to treat older poses as if they were native G9 ones. The second one allows you to save the converted poses before using them.

This is incorrect. Please look at the products features on the details section.

I'm glad you stopped by and clarified things. I was going through everything to find where the nonexistent save pose option was - and never found it surprise

Anyway, I'm quite happy with Pose Convertor. The biggest difference I can see between the two is that Pose Convertor works for both Genesis 3 and Genesis 8/8.1 poses. I think Pose Companion works for only 8/8.1 poses??

Pose Convertor works well for me. If I hadn't already bought Pose Convertor, I'd still probably get it, since it converts both G3 and G8/8.1 poses. You can find more information about both in the PA Commercial Products forum.

Yeah, I almost bought the pose companion then realized it seems like pose converter has more options like hierarchal poses and G3. I guess I'll wait till it goes back on sale. I was just wondering which works better. G9 is too short for most of my purposes so I make the height more consistent with V8 so I'm hoping that will make poses more correct too. But so far the only thing I even like G9 for is the eyes in closeups.

Pose companion is a plug-in, where as Pose Converter is a script. They behave differently as stated above.

For me the main advantage of Pose Companion is that it converts a pose by a simple hot key, where as with Pose Converter a pop-up appears, and you need to click this in order to make the conversion. This may seem like a small difference, but if going through a number of poses to see which one works best, then one less click makes matters a lot easier, and for that I would prefer Pose Companion.

Yup. If only Pose Companion did Genesis 3 poses as well. Time will tell, but I'll probably get Pose Companion too for the sheer convenience.

No. You only click the popup to close it. The conversion happens on the fly with the short cut key as well. It is set to auto apply by default. Please watch the promo video. Also the popup is there so you can edit things like mirror pose, adjust limits and drop to floor if the pose needs changes, all right there without navigating anywhere else.

Pose Companion never worked right for me. I have to go through the content library. The Smart Content section does not work. Also, if I click undo after a pose, it makes the eyes pop out of the head partially. I wish I waited and bought Pose Converter instead.
