Something's not right with my Render Engine

Hey DAZ

As I render a simple scene.. works beautiful the first few times... On Quality Range 4... which is using the DAz built in render software... and it looks good..  All of a sudden, under all the same settings, my characters surfaces turn completely white.  I notice this happen when I use -render quality 2, which is hardware assist.  Which is leading me to believe that the Daz render engine is crapping out somehow.  Is there a way to fix that or what?  Also, I can't understand why my hardware does what it does either.  I have not 1 but 2 AMD Radeon HD graphics cards, crossfired,, or at least I think I do..  maybe they're not working properly -I know that their drivers are up to date.... Does anyone know how to check if your graphics cards are working properly or at their best capacity.  I'm using DAZ 4.6.. still not sure if I should upgrade to 7or8, or how that would even work..  I'm using Windows 7 which is prompting me..saying that my free Windows 10 is ready...  There's a lot here for me to consider.. I might be out of date somehow..

Does anyone have any useful knowledge.   Thanks

There is a bug whereby sometimes that happens every so often.  Simply exit and restart DAZ Studio and re-render, and hopefully the issue should go away on your 2nd try (if that is the issue you are seeing).

It is bug with the shaders, the files in the brickyard folder in DS's temp folder becomes corrupted and they need to be deleted so the render can re-build them.  The location of the temp folder is listed in Preferences, the default on a Windows system is in a hidden folder.

This is exactly the issue I'm having. I'll give it a shot.

It can take a couple of goes, so be patient.  This is also a great time to try out a spot render to check the issue is fixed as quickly as possible.

It also seems to only effect G2 figures. My V4 renders were entirely normal.
