Selecting Body Parts In Posing Window

In the posing window in DS, when you point at G8F, the body part you point at turns yellow and typically if you click it the body part becomes selected and you can manipulate it.

Well, I accidentally did something that has shut that feature off and now, though the body parts still turn yellow when pointing at them, clicking them no longer selects them. Nothing happens.

Even if I close DS and reboot my laptop, when I open DS and reload G8F I still cannot select a body part of G8F in the posing window. This has effected G8M and my G3 figures too.

In fact, if I have two figures loaded and I try to select one by pointing at it, I can't. It will not select. I have to go to the scene tab and select there.

This is now the case in two of my DS installs. But the new Beta version I have was not affected.

Is there a way to turn this feature back on?

Sounds like the Node Selection Mode is set to Root Only. Go to the Tool Settings tab and select the Node Selection tool (to reduce the clutter). The only setting is Root Selection Mode, and it is probably showing Root Node Only. From the drop-down list select Root Node First (to start at the top), or Node (to go directly to the selection).

It has happened to me. You never forget when you have to find it yourself.

Heh, north of forty-five was a marker, of sorts, at the time. Age and latitude. Location hasn't changed, but time doesn't stop...

I have no idea how you would have figured this out by yourself. I'm more of a DS user than a guru.

Well, if your talking age ... I am considerably NORTH of 45.
