Is there an easy way to create a shadow on a floor?

Hello to you,
I created a functional swing and to illustrate it I prepared an animated sequence.
In order to give more life to this animation I would have liked to place the swing on a grassy ground and I would have liked to show the shadow.
But as soon as I place an HDRI scene, the shadow disappears.
Is there a tutorial explaining the procedure?
Sincerely

Here is a dicscussion on creaitng a shadow catcher for Iray:

What HDRI are you using? In general I don't have an issue with the figures not having shadows, unless they are just hard to see due to lighting, but usually I tend to grab ones that were set up for DS so it might be a difference in settings.
Umi no Senshi no Ishi: Thank you for the link, I had already watched it but unfortunately my level of English is not good enough or the explanations are not clear enough so I cannot follow this method. But I will persevere.

In the Render Settings window, under the Environment section, make sure "Draw Ground" is on. This particular hdr has fairly diffuse lighting, the shadows do not stand out very much. You could try adjusting the "Ground Shadow Intensity" in the same window, it may not be the most natural looking results, but if you adjust it up and down a bit (maybe around 1.5) you may get something you like where you can see the shadows.
Or if anyone else has more experience with this than me and has any tips, I'd be interested in them too.
Ok, I tried playing around with the settings you told me. Now I have something but I will continue tomorrow because for the moment it is not convincing
The HDRI is mostly clody, and therefore has no distinquished shadows.
And it look like you have a lamp way too close to emulate the sun, and that is why the ground looks very washed out. I would say that lamp should be at further away.
Edit: I tried, but if it is a distant light, the distance doesn't matter. So whatever lamp you have above should be replaced with a distanced light.
Or you could find an HDRI with a more distinquished sun, that will make clear shadows on its own.
I followed your recommendations and now it works much better, thank you very much for that.
However, I still have some problems like:
- how to remove the other shadows present in the scene?
=> these other shadows are not from my new projector but I don't see any others
- how to make this scene more real?
Basically, you can't if it is part of the HDRI.
That doesn't look like the original HDRI. And if not, then how does it look with only the HDRI?
When using a lamp in addition to an HDRI, you want to match the direction of the light in the HDI, or else you will have mismatch in how the shadows look.
I usually only uses the HDRI, and then maybe some filllight to lighten the characters, so there isn't too strong shadows on them in unwanted areas.
Here is the scene with only the lighting coming from the HDRI, you are right that will suffice.
Now, what is the best way to offer my 3D model swing for sale?
