Santa's Normal maker a bit bugged

I know one should not look at the gift horse in the mouth, but there are some weird thing going on with it.

For one, why is the skeleton required?

Second, the program doesn't seem to actually create normal maps at all, as it asks where to find the maps when creating them.

No, you don't need the skeleton, but with a SKU 113, it would be the oldest item in my library, so I might get that one just for nostalgia.

I just tried it out, it made a normal map for the chaise lounger I tried it on.

edit: Here's code66 replying about the skeleton.

    Thank you for the links.

I figured out wtf was up with the file location. Essentially, the program is putting the custom normals into the daz connect runtime, not the actual runtime.
