render a figure but with Smooth Shaded view

I want to render a figure but with the surface in the neutral opaque gray that is shown in the Smooth Shadow View. In order to have the lighting and shadow like a normal render setting but without any color and, most important, NO TEXTURE. In this way, I can save a high res.png image without a background and without any color or texture but with light and shadow. Is this possible? Hope is comprehensible my explanation.

Set your Viewport draw style to Smooth Shaded. Then in the Render Settings pane, change the render Engine to Viewport. Render the scene. It wll be instantaneous and look exactly like the viewport.

Another option is to render in Iray White Mode (you can choose any color, not just white). In the Render Settings pane, set the render Engine to NVIDIA Iray (MDL). The set White Mode Enable to On and select your color.

Thank you so much, Barbult...super helpful! The last one is ideal, since in that way the light and shadow is rendered in a more proper way, just like a black-and-white picture. Perfect!

Thank you and have a great weekend!
