Custom content, no folder

I've looked at every existing tutorial on the internet for this and every time it takes me to some folder I dont have and it's causing me to go mad. I've had this problem with many programs and it sometimes feels like I'm using a special version that only exists for me because my file paths are that different. What I'm told most often is Documents/Daz 3d/studio/my library but that folder only has two subfolders and nowhere to drop the content, do I just drop it all lose in the my library folder itself?

If the zip contains a Runtime or Data folder then those, and any other files and folders at the same level in the zip, get merged into the My Library folder. If not it may not be Poser or DAZ Studio format content, or it may be oddly packaged - without more details it's not possible to be sure.
I have no runtime folder anywhere on my computer.
That is an interesting situation to be in for a Studio user :)
if you used the default install.Your content is in c:\Users\Public\Public Documents\My Daz 3D Library. This is where you will find the runtime folder.
Daz has a folder structure they use to make installing content in Studio easy, but other websites may not use it.
If you could unzip your custom content to an empty folder on your desktop and make a screen shot of the folders in it, it would be easier to be able to tell you where they go.Not all content uses the runtime folder, so without seeing what folders you are working with it won't be easy to guess at what you are seeing. If you can't do a screen shot, then just list them here, and we see what we can do.
well if it helps, I got the files from Renderosity.
this is what I see unziping the folder:
thank you,In your c:\Users\Public\Public Documents\My Daz 3D Library there should be a folder called runtime.Take the new one you just downloaded and copy it to "c:\Users\Public\Public Documents\My Daz 3D Library" .Windows will ask you if you want to merge them, Click yes and it will merge them. When you start Studio back up you new content should found in Poser Formats in the Content Library Tab.It most likely won't have metadata so it won't show up on Smart Content.
And there it is.
Thank you 1000 times
You're welcome
