blurry/grainy skin and also parts of my renders

Just seeing if I can get a little help here, I've been having some problems with my renders since starting out where the renders especially the models faces look blurry, I have searched these forums and tried a lot of things and I just have no idea why they look blurry/grainy, my iray viewport also comes out very blurry/grainy, I'm wondering if maybe theres a texture resolution for skin that I havent seen, I know about the mesh one and that does nothing to solve the blurry parts of the image

my specs are

rtx 3060, ryzen 5600, 48gb ddr4 3200mhz ram and a 1tb m.2 ssd

any tips or help in general would be appreciated, also heres a few sample images of what I mean, one with light, one without

thanks for any help provided

  • Try setting the pixel filter to 1 -ish. 1.50 is default. It is found toward the bottem in render settings.

The lighting is not to bad in the first image but needs to be brighter, try a slower shutter speed, or upping the enviromental intencity. For this kind of image you might want to take a look at some beach HDRIs, there are some very nice ones in the store, and free on the net. Getting the lighting right really is the key to a good image.

Thanks for the info, I have set my pixel filter to between 0.90 and 1 but haven't tried the shutter speed or messed with environment settings so I'll give that a go now
