Genesis 8.1 and 9 Clothing on Genesis 8 and 3

I really like dForce SPR Iron Hand Combat Suit and Pose for Genesis 8.1 and 9  ( https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-spr-iron-hand-combat-suit-and-pose-for-genesis-81-and-9 ).

How likely is to fit (auto-fit?), without a lot of tweaking, on Genesis 3 and 8, Male and Female?

 

Is the recent launch Genesis 9 only clothing mean that Genesis 8 and 3 have been consigned to the dust bin of history?

    A genesis 9 clone for G8/G8 is needed. There is in the forum a tutorial to do it...or wait until a PA make a clone.

    Means (IMHO, as I don't have that product) using it on G8 should be no problem and using it on G3 should work without too much problems by autofit.

    AFAIK clothes for G9 exclusively need some effort put in to make them with G8, if they work at all... but there surely is more about to be found here in the forum..

    If it starts asking for autofit, you can fit the Genesis 8.1 item onto Gen 8 easily by changing the Scene ID of your Genesis figure to match the clothing. PerttiA explains it pretty succinctly here: Genesis 8.1 / Victoria 8.1 - Page 43 - Daz 3D Forums.

    If you want to apply Gen 8 male clothing to Gen 8 female characters and vice versa, the Genesis 8 Cross-Figure Resource Kit is a great investment and works so well. You can then save the new morph into the clothing too. I really recommend it.

    Yes I have the G8 and G3 cross-fit products and just about every other tool created for Daz Studio 4.xx.

    I like the new Genesis 9 but I expect it to be atleast 6 months to a year before I let that train run me over. I got all the G9 Daz original basic items and V9 when they were on deep discount but that is it for now. Maybe M9 when it goes on deep discount.

    I hope they send in the clones soon.

    I will say that before you let that G9 train hit you, be sure to check the clothing items in store. Despite G9's (so far much maligned) gender neutrality, there are vendors making clothes that only fit G9 female and don't work on G9 male unless they've got breasts, so definitely check the morphs section of the sales page.

    Maybe if we're lucky someone'll make a cross figure kit for G9 too. :D

    I made a G9 clone for 8.1. Wasn't all that difficult. There's a tutorial in the freebies section. Give it a shot :).

    AllenArt, learning to make clones is on my do to list.
