Preparing scene bar infinite loop

Hey guys, hope all is well in your lives. So I got an early christmas present from my Brother in Law. It's a Asus Rog Zephyrus laptop. Ryzen 9/3080 gpu. It looks good but I haven't been able to enjoy it so far. I'm currently trying to do some light renders, nothing heavy at all but the GPU doesn't seem to be cooperating or perhaps it's just me not doing everything properly. I seem to be stuck a the preparing the scene bar, you know when you switch to iray. It seems to be stuck in an infinite loading loop. Can someone please think of the children and help me out please?
