Environment Intensity keeps going back to 12

Every time I run DAZ Studio, the Environment Intensity under Render Setting keeps coming up as 12.0

I change it to 1.2 which I think is the default? And the next time I run the program, it's back to 12.0 with washed out figures (see attached).

I've been using DAZ Studio for 4 years now and I've never had this problem before.

Is there something I'm doing that could be causing this? And why now? I'm not using any new assets that I have not used before, except for one new figure I purchased, Deepsea Adam.

Could that figure be modifying the setting?

Please help. This is so annoying.

    Please excuse my idiocy.

I have DAZ opening a file at startup with lights. And somehow I must have changed the Environment Intensity to 12 and saved it.

    My bad.

But may I ask what the default value is for Environment Intensity? I was guessing when I said "1.2" and it would be nice to set it to something that is standard.

  • Default for Environment Intensity is 1.0, you can alt+left click on a parameter in Studio to reset it to the default values. That said it's possible others have set up HDRIs based on a different value, but that should load with the preset if that is the case.

    Thanks!
