Hi team, anyone know what the white dots are on the attached image? I have 2 spotlights and 3 planes surrounding the character, can't think what they might be a result of.
Thank you

Right, I have turned off the render emitter and visible in viewport but still there. It wasn't until I turned off Visible in Render the spots disappeared but then so does the illumination in my viewport. Seems a bit daft that I have to set everything up, turn off the illumination and then render. Is there another way around this?
thanks
I am assuming that those are the reflections of the lights/emmissives you are using to light the front of your model since you have a mirror behind her. You could try changing the angle of the camera or angle/position of the lights/emmissives so that their reflections are not in the camera's field of view.
Yes understood SofaCitizen but then it limits my options for lighting. Still, I'll give it a try and possibly still get a good effect. Many thanks
Instead of using normal lights, you could consider to use ghost lights.
Thanks felis, I'll try that :)
I don't think that will work in recent versions. The "problem" is that the light sources are visible in the reflections. IRL the solution is to put a shutter between the path of the reflected light and the camera. So that works in modern versions of Daz too; the light illuminating the character follows a different path from the light in the reflection. So shutter the scene light so that it continues to illuminate the character but does not illuminate the camera. The characters arse, visible in the reflection, may suffer some denudation, but SIL.
To be honest, I would have thought the easiest thing would be to edit them out, post prod, in a photo editor.
Thanks for the info guys, plenty of options there for me to work with :)
In the latest build of Daz Studio, there is an update for ghost lights to work without showing up in the reflections
Ah, thanks Matty manx :)
Open Photoshop and use the "Spot Healing Brush Tool."
Thanks for the input rad :)
