Tool for batch converting textures paths in surfaces ?

I moved my content to a new PC.

A lot of surfaces are set to use an absolute path.

E.g. C:\textures\human\skin\texture.png

Now the storage changed to e.g.:

F:\textures\human\skin\texture.png

Unfortunately most files are compressed, so using replace in a file editing tool does not work (or is there a tool that can do a batch search / replace in compressed files?).

Do you have an idea how to solve this issue?

    Daz Studio has a tab labeled Batch Convert that will allow you to decompress the files so you can edit the file paths.

    The best text editor imho that will batch process the file paths for you is Notepad++

    It has batch saving and closing as well.

  • First: there is a reason why those textures are not in the content dir.

    Second: any tip for tool ?

    Thanks, that does the trick :-)

    Anyway using Notepad++ already.
