[I'm trying to understand the Scripted 3Delight Outline renderer.]

I understand lines generated using color ID's. And I somewhat understand how the depth lines are generated.

But how are the normal lines generated? From what source are these lines generated? vector normals?

What is the science behind how the normal and depth lines are generated?

Okay so, I did some more digging and found this info:

    https://www.dgp.toronto.edu/~hertzman/hertzmann-intro3d.pdf

This paper gave me some basics on how outline renderers work. It's what I pretty much suspected, I just got confirmation skimming through this.

I wish there was a more adequate tutorial explaining the renderer in Daz. Maybe I will make one someday .....laughenlightened
