I wish Daz make this input device

I imagine an input device with three dials. Because all of daz genesis joints have 2-3 dials.
So we can change the genesis joint rotation just by turning each dials.
Wouldn't that make life easier?
well, ideally it would be a manequin which we can pose it, like Celsys robot.

Not sure Daz are gonna move into the hardware market but you can try these guys: https://monogramcc.com
Seems like the kind of thing you are looking for - no idea if it will work well with Daz tho.
Wow, just like I imagine. But can it work with Daz though?
there is a thread using an Elgato streaming device in DAZ

Hemm.. maybe they can integrate daz with a smartphone, and basically shows their joint dials/slider onto the smartphone screen.
That would be a simple and cheap solution.
I clicked on that link out of curiosity and now I am getting sponsored ads from them on Facebook
Sorry about that :( I don't really use Facebook so don't notice these things. Perhaps this link will reset your ad preferences?
is OK, just annoyed at them, Facebook and their sneaky cookies
not you
if I didn't get those ads I would get something else totally irrelevant anyway so no big deal
cat based business always welcome
It seems someone has thought about this idea a long ago.

He has the plugin to work with a hardware device - Korg Nanocontroller 2. Somekind of a midi device.
But will it work for DAZ 4.21?
You could theoretically map a SpaceMouse to do this, although I've heard that DS has pretty poor SpaceMouse integration.
Spacemouse expensive sive sive sive.....
Most individual Monogram modules cost more than the one I linked, yet you didn't comment about how expensive those are.
Maybe https://www.tourboxtech.com can do that ?
I don't k now if one can map DS's rotation controls to short cuts. I use that tool only for image editing software so far.
Regarding space mouse. There was a communication from a forum user with 3dconnexion in the past and they tried DS. Their answer was that DS uses the space mouse api in a wrong way and thats the reason why it works poorly. This information was posted in a support ticket to DAZ but according to the release notes nothing has changed since then.
FireFox has this feature now but I don't know if it will block that kind of thing:
Yea... true.
Because my brain already ingrain that expensive label to Spacemouse longer than monogram. hahaha...
It's just automatic.
I want to try using the KORG midi. I have tried to reach out the plugin developer, but got no response yet.
The video of how to use it. Isn't clear.
Thanks for the shout out, WendyLuvsCatz :-)
I'm eyeing the Streamdeck+ as a great way to spin dials and rotate in Daz. I've tried a Spacemouse (Great for moving cameras but laggy and jumping for posing) and a Razer Tartarus (works, but the joystick/wheel isn't intuitive. I think the Streamdeck+ would be awesome. I see two ways to do this:
So, why haven't I written it? I could probably kludge out an alpha of the Streamdeck side in about a week, but the plug-in side is the problem. My C programming skills are poor, but might be able to some of it, however setting up the SDK seems impossible without some advanced knowledge and the Forums are silent on it. I've tried for ages to get anyone to explain how to get the Daz SDK installed and compiling in Visual Studio ... or any other IDE.
Want to help? If you know how to write and compile Daz Studio plug-ins you can either (1) DM me to see about collaborating like esemwy and I did or (2) DM and give me some advice on setting up the IDE. Once I can compiles omething like "Hello World" I can probably get a Streamdeck plug-in working.
Now that Elgato has released a Streamdeck+ SDK, I plan to get one. The only thing holding me back was the lack of official support.
Let me know what you guys think!
Which may well indicate that the forum user was incorrect in their assertion.
Well, the fact that DS still does not support the space navigator let me believe he was right.
I don't know about the api usage, but I do have a support ticket (for incorrect movement of orthogonal cameras) closed in February 2022 stating they no longer support the 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse, so I wouldn't expect any updates.
I did open a ticket requesting the code for the plugin be released on DAZ's official github repository, and support submitted a feature request to the devs for that, but for either licensing, roadmap, or time reasons, nothing came of it. For improved support, I think we need a 3rd party developer to develop a plugin from scratch.
For anyone interested in Stream Deck + Support there is an alpha verison of a plugin over here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/7955651/#Comment_7955651
