Daz should take a look at Epic's (Unreal) Freebies

There's SO much to unpack and consider here. Daz/Tafi is a small company that is supported by all the PAs who voluntarily sell through their marketplace, so a lot of content is dependent on what they can make and create. And if they have the time and resources (a good computer, programs they need, etc, can afford the time to put into the items they make or if they have to work another job/take care of family, etc), as well as how sales/earning is going. The same things pinching the economy that make it harder for people to buy is also pinching the people who make content... everything necessary costs more (food, electricity, rent, etc), and everyone tends to have to work longer for leaner rewards. I would have liked to contribute a freebie this year, but it's been a tougher year for me as well. I still hope to make more freebies eventually as I have managed to learn a lot this past year, but time/money/and all that will happen when it happens. 

Another thing, Daz management changes. Online marketing (not just Daz, but online EVERYTHING) has changed and expanded in crazy ways. A lot of past freebies were "Limited." Things like Cat LE, Dragon LE, lovebear LE, etc. Limited that they had only a few posing morphs, but extras like textures, shaping morphs, extra shaders or add-ons were ways to let users try the program and simple figures without buying everything. Daz still has some of that, in the way that Daz studio comes with base figures. The new G9 comes with base shapes and a ton of free starting textures which is hugely generous. But marketing always changes and Daz has a lot of new kind of sales and a lot of ways to reward frequent buyers ... and people who can watch the store for sales. 

Freebies page doesn't always show everything that's free... and there are platinum club freebies if you're in the platinum club. There's the freebies forum where there are a lot of great things too. If you watch the store, there's always flash sales going on and in the daily release pages, the related items and vendors are often on sale, and sometimes (often) there are connected freebies. There's not just one way to get freebies- there are several. 

and not to mention, Daz Studio is lot more versatile than one realizes. you can make full props and outfits and hair in daz studio without the help of other programs. :)

Thanks for the heads up! Got the Crow 8.1 mega bundle for ten bucks as well as the Bruce Lee look alike bundle. I wasn't going to spend anymore money this year, but couldn't pass those two up. 

Haha that's how they got me too. I wanted the crow- could not justifiy it at that price when I already have one that is decent but then as a 'joke' decided to see if the mega bundle was $10. Imagine my surprise when it was Didn't get Bruce Le- err MSO Loong but I did get two great fantasy sets :)
