Translation Gizmo in Studio Broken Rotation?
This has changed on my system since a couple of Studio updates ago. I'll use a primitive plane to demonstrate what I now get:
1. Rotate the plane 45 degrees in the X axis, use either gizmo or X rotate slider in params. Result stays consistent as per Pic1. Note that previously the gizmo Y arrow would have also rotated 45 degrees in the X axis, aligned with the plane: it now remains vertical.
2. Use the Y Slider to rotate Y by 45 degrees, the plane rotates about its own REAL Y axis (centre of top edge in pic1), not the gizmo's axis which remain vertical at 0 degrees (pic2).
3. Now set the Y slider back to 0, and rotate by approx. 45 degrees using the gizmo Y rotator this time. The plane now rotates about the world axis (pic3). Gismo's axis still no change.
I appreciate it may be difficult to see the actual rotational differences in the pictures, but it can be seen that they are different in each case. This current behaviour makes it impossible to track the orientation of objects in a scene. I chose to show a plane deliberately as I use section planes and emissive planes a lot. The Gizmo Z arrow is essential to determine the active face as it used to be perpendicular to that face. No longer!
Question is, have I changed something in settings without realising, or is this the result of one of the recent updates? I've just installed Studio 4.21 and it's still the same.
Searched all over but can't find any setting that would seem to affect this. Appreciate any help to fix or confirmation of same?

Not fully sure, but it sounds as you have changed coordinates from Local to Global
With the Universal Tool selected, open Tool Settings and on the top of Tool Settings you can change between the different coordinates.
Doh!! Never used tool settings (or thought I hadn't). Actually spent a couple of hours going through all DAZ settings as I suspected local/global from other softs.
Didn't find Tool Settings though . That's fixed it, many thanks.
Good .
Being able to swith between different coordinates can at times be more handy, although I mostly have it on Local.
And if you are going to dive into the more advanced parts of Daz Studio, you will need Tool Settings regularly.
