Render time is improved when restarting daz studio? why and how to fix it?
Daz is working in a weird clunky way for me and I did read some forums that also mentioned something like this. Basically my render time slows down, sometimes after certain amount of time spent having it open, other times simply from bringing other things into the scene like characters etc. I discovered that restarting Daz improves the render speed, as well as restarting the computer.
Its really confusing because the first thing people would think is "is it the render settings? Do I need to lower it? is it some detailed object, shadow or whatever thats making it longer?" etc etc when it literally resolves itself by restarting daz or the computer.
I already did a test on this, it was taking 1 hour and 10 minutes and my render only did like 90 iterations or something (progress bar was still at 0%) so I simply saved the scene, quit daz studio, reopened the saved scene and started the render again, in 15 minutes it was already like 50% done and the iteration was at like 1000 something. Is there a fix for this? I could only imagine how many people ended up buying high end graphic cards because of this when they could have possibly resolved it by simply restarting daz studio or computer lol.

Occasionally DAZ Studio doesn't release the memory, both internal and video card, so the only way to clear it is to restart Studio.
You could use the Daz bridge to other software that does not suffer from memory problems.
