What happens if you try to, and how are you doing it?
all cameras or one that came with a scene and may be locked?
Hemm...
The camera seems to orbit around something, but not the object I want, and my view isn't pointing to that something.
As if walking in a circle but not looking to the center of the circle.
it seems these are cameras that comes by using "Camera Magic" and "Camera Doctor"
If I create a new normal one, I can do it properly.
Ok... found the problem. A camera can't be placed in a group.
That's new to me...
I'm not sure what your problem is but I'm quite convined that groups weren't the cause. In several of my bigger scenes I use several camera presets and to ensure that it doesn't become a huge mixtured mess I often group 'm together. And I have yet to spot any problems with that.
since camera magic has special properties I suspect that's your issue
the whole idea is for the cameras to do specific things
Focus distance corrects this problem for me. Select the camera to see the focus point. Set it so the point is on the object you want to orbit around.
I've had this problem too, if they are in a group with the object that you are orbiting.
I'm having the same issue. Animating cars (Using Linday's awesome Four Wheeler Template), I add cameras in and around the cars within the group. Argh! Why?!!!
The only solution I've found so far is to place the camera that must be within the group also inside their own Null, and rotate the null. Sucks! Argh!
Oh well.
I'm loving Daz Studio. But there are things in here that just pester me to no end! Basic stuff that something as sophisticated as DS, stuff like this just doesn't make sense!
Ever accidentally hit the Delete key with a keyframe selected - hoping to delete the key? Um... don't do it! Joint Editor "Align to Center"(of selected) just doesn't exist! How do creators get anything done?!!!
