Where is "Make Pane Undockable" 4.21

Where did DS move the "Make Pane Undockable" option?

Without that DS is a pain on single monitor setup because everytime I try to move viewport around it docks and I have to keep undocking it.

It was removed a couple if versions ago.

IMHO not a very bright move, as I used it all the time, especially with the ShaderMixer.

    CTRL+U

    or

    Window>Workspace>Lock Docking/Undocking

edit: lock/unlocks all panes. Like an on/off switch.

Top right of your browser, you will see a minimise, screen size and a big X to close it, that was what "make pane undockable" did to the panes in DS, it allowed me to minimise the pane down to the bottom left of the screen out of the way when I wasn't using it, and to quickly bring it back up when I needed it.

For me removing that feature has made DS far more user unfriendly than it used to be.

Right on, I was just posting a solution to separating them so one could move them to a different monitor.

As far as I know, the new "window" only has the close button, and none of the the other features though.

  • The feature was a hold-over workaround, and as I understand it caused issues of its own. I would suggest making a feature request to gain the ability to maximise/ miinimise undocked panes, and any other featues that making panes undickable added.

Totally irrelevent to the question but thanks.

  • Do DAZ developers even read these posts?

Not relevant to the question but thanks.

Nope, it's just us fellow users and the moderators keeping us within TOS

  • Making a feature request is the best way to present the case for a feature to the developers and product management (not the same people, and it is the latter who decide where work-day attention is directed)
