Transfer Tool Crashing

I don't know if this is due to the whole G9 "gender-bender" setup, but the Transfer tool keeps crashing, no matter how I go about trying to set this up. Eventually, this will be a dForce item, but not sure why the crash. I've attached the screenshots below. For some reason, this has hung up on the masculine, feminine, and some other .dsf files. Does anyone have a clue what's going wrong here? DIdn't have this issue with G3/G8, so not sure if G9 or not.

Great, I can't attach nor imbed any pictures either...
So, let me walk this through. I made and modeled a tunic-style swim coverup for G9F in Hexagon, and UV mapped it in Blender. Brought it into D|S, and it looks great. I loaded the DEV G9, and applied the base feminine morph. THen went to transfer utility, set the source as G9 and "current," then the coverup as the target. I did use the bodysuit projection template. It gets about halfway done, but D|S keeps crashing on the base_masculine_bs_...dsf file. If I could attach pictures or more information, it would be much more useful. Anyone have ideas? I'm going to try a G3/G8 item to see if it keeps happening.
Thanks, -David
Try to select nothing (unselect) before doing transfer.
Felis,
Your suggestion did work; however, when the auto-transfer happens, the garment pulls into G9F, no matter which projection template i use, even if I select none. I'm about to give up and go back to G3/G8. This is beyond maddening, especially with the broke forum engine. -David
It is not that many items I have autofitted to G9, but those I have, have behaved fairly fine.
Which G9 character are you trying to fit it to? And from what generation? And if you are looking at it on an unmorphed G9, does it then still clip?
You could try to post in this https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/597726/genesis-9-clothing-questions-answers#latest
My understanding is that Mada has done a lot of the templates (if not all), and therefore know the process thoroughly.

Ok,
So here's an update... I watched several of Mada's videos, and browsed through the huge post that Felis linked above.
A couple things to note about my approach:
1). In D|S, I loaded G9DEV, set base feminine to 100%, zeroed, and exported "G9F"as OBJ.
2). Imported "G9F" into Hexagon, modeled the coverup, added materials, and exported the OBJ, coverup.obj.
3). Imported the coverup.obj into Blender to properly UV map, as Hex does a crap job of UVs. Exported coverup.obj and UV map.
4). In D|S, I loaded G9DEV, set base feminine to 100%. Imported coverup.obj, no pokethrough, and everything looks good.
5). Go to Transfer tool, set "G9F" as the source, and "current", and the coverup as the target. I selected full body template, and ran the tool.
6). Transfer tool works, but still have clipping. In the clothing, I see that there is a hidden slider for BaseFeminine_body_bs_Body, set to 100%. I set the slider to 0%, and the coverup looks normal, with no pokethrough.
Impressions:
1). I may be a bit daft, but still don't quite understand the G9 setup. I can see that for some common clothing, that it may be easier to model on the base character, and it will inherit some stretching/morphing for either the feminine/masculine morphs.
2). Going forward, say if I was to make a bikini for G9F, what would the process be, and would I go about it differntly than i did above?
3). What about if I was making a boxy 3-button suit for G9M? What should I do fifferently than if I was making it for G3/G8M?
Thanks, -David
I think you may be forgetting to check reverse deformations?
Reverse Source Shape from Target.
Mada has a good thread on Genesis 9 Clothing creation which may help. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/597726/genesis-9-clothing-questions-answers#latest
