I just saw it and it is just out today.

Wow, he sure has a way with unique cyborg type beings. They often have a feel of "vulnerability", danger, and pathos. "Vulnerability" you might question but for me they often, almost always, suggest a back story of tragedy, of things gone wrong in terrible ways. 

Anyway, I am so glad to see this new character of his.

  • I love how each of his recent cyborgs (Eve, Nova, and Splice) all have a bit of something in their geoshells that the other two don't. Nova's inner light and Splice's skin tones, for example. They combine well. This one's the most straightforward of those to use, though, I've been testing it out since I bought it. He definitely puts a lot into sculpting them. I was eager for this release since the first started posting his progress on Insta, the draping-flesh look goes good for a narrative I'm writing right now.

  • Oh, and test them out with various trasparencies on the base skin, especially if you have something with internal anatomy like CyBody (you'll have to google that) that play really well under the geoshells.

    If only Daz QA would check for stuff like that and send it back for correction! My content library is a mess with Prop and Props, Texture and Textures, Landscape and Landscapes, and yes, Character and Characters. And then there are the blatant misspellings like Enviroment. 

  • I clean up all that stuff easily enough. But yes it's DAZ who should enforce that.

    And yet, we will forever be stuck with "ReadMe's".

    Because we can spend hours posing, hours texturing, hours rendering, but 30 seconds of meta tweaking is way too much...

    Posing, texturing and rendering are part of the creative process, installing content is not IMO. Users complain about the most ridiculus things on this forum, opening doors, toilet seats, the name/marketing of products offending them, losing a few cents when a product goes on sale right after they buy it. Surely having a product install correctly should be more of a priority. besides, I never use smart content, so meta is useless to me.

  • If you don't use smart data, that makes it more confusing as to why it's an issue. Seems like a weird hill to defend, seeing as how changing the folder name from Character to Characters is one of the few changes you can make that won't mess the product up. That goes for both user and creator ends. Unless it's just not your style and rather than say "man, I don't like his style," you opt for some other reason to dislike it...

    Are you sure about that? Because if it is true, it would make my life a bit easier.

    If you don't use smart content, you can change almost everything, as long as long as you leave the data and runtime folders alone. The only thing I have by default in my library is ultrascenery.

    There's also those annoying products that use dij files or whatever the extension is, those need to be replaced with the files they referenece when things are moved.

    I do like his style, but it's a principle thing for me. I am very familar with the DAZ file structure and file paths since I only use the content library and I used to install everything manually. but I have no desire to start renaming folders and moving files around and shouldn't have to  I blame DAZ as well since they don't enforce PAs using the correct folders and file paths.
