rebuilding missing data files?
![StratDragon](https://farnsworth-prod.uc.r.appspot.com/forums/uploads/userpics/761/n7BBA6684A7DE.jpg)
Not long ago my OS drive died and unbeknownst to me some of my data files decided to make a home on that drive when I thought I had expressed told them to use the data drive. As a result some of my archived work will not load figures when I load the files, I get the missing data error. I've tried putting those elements back into the proper folders from other archives of the data but it does not seem to ever work.
Has anyone successfully repaired ths type of issue?

Scene files?
Precisely.
I think you are talking about the cutom changes one might make, such as a dial-spun character and where they are kept.
I have "C:\Users\icecrmn\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library" that seems to hold lots of that sort of stuff.Maybe thats what you looking for?
If you mean .daz scene files, the only fix is to load the original content (Poser items or imported OBJs) into a DS version thats aves .daz and save. No need to load poses, lights, character settings etc - just objects and morphs.
save over the original or make a new file?
@ icecrmn
the data files are gone, no backup because the drive I was baking up was not where those particular files were. I had my data spread between two drives and didn't know.
New fle, otherwise you'd lose the scene you wanted.
New file...
Just use something like DS3...and create a scene and start loading everything you can think of that is in one of the missing scenes (doesn't matter if you move it from it's native load position or not). Then save that scene. Now that newly created scene is pretty much done it's job...it put everything in the data folder. The contents of the data folder (usually a subfolder with a name like 3_0) are what you need.
