Eyes

I've never had this problem before and I can't seem to figure it out. Using a DAZ 8 male figure. Trying to get him to look sideways. Used i3d MH 17 pose from the 100 Must Have Expressions pack for Gen 8 Males. Trouble is the eyes just render white. Went back applied zero expression and tried again, same result. Any idea what could be causing that? Thanks.

    Does it only render white, or is it also white in the viewport.

    If in the viewport, try to select an eye bone and open the parameters. If zeroing the parameters brings the iris back, then somehow it has just been rotated too much.

    I tried that just now with no luck. So I thought I'd use the old primative trick. Created one and pointed the eyes at it and it didn't work either. The eyes show up in texture shaded mode but disappear in the Iray preview.

    If they show up in texture shaded, then it is not the pose, but some surface settings.

    Do you have any geoshells on the character?

    If not I would assume it is the EyeMoisture there have some faulty settings.

  • Well, all's well that ends well. Rather than chasing down the geoshell which I'm now thinking was the problem, I just decided to apply different eyes. Since it's a SciFi scene and I had a set of cyber eyes, I went and applied them and it's now rendering and the scene is improved. Thanks for your help. It is much appreciated.
