Why does the "browse" selection in the surfaces tab always default to Roaming? [Solved]

...I've been working with designing tattoos for characters and every time I need to go to a specific map on the body (like the arms), when I click on Browse in the Surfaces Tab, it always takes me to the App Data/Documents/Roaming/DAZ 3D/Studio/Temp folder instead.  It is very frustrating to always manually navigate to the textures folder every time to load a modified texture. Is there any way to permanently route the Browse selection to the correct folder in Library/Runtime/Textures

If there is no bitmap already in the slot, it doesn't know where to look. If you save it at least once, it should go back to the same folder. I keep an explorer window open in the texture folder and copy the address into the selection dialog address bar. Two or three clicks and you're there. You can even drag and drop the bitmap onto the controller, but sometimes it doesn't stick.

  • It may also be that you recently applied a LIE image directly, or browsed to the location of one.

That could be it. I mow seem to recall that the file selector goes to the most recently used folder (for that channel, even from a previous scene?) if there is no image map in the slot, even if other channels have images from the folder you want to use. Or something like that. I do know that if I have to do it more than once, I use the file explorer trick to avoid the frustration.

...I did first try to apply the fraphi as an LIE image, however I downloaded the graphic and made changes and saved it in Gimp before using it.  I finally deleted all the temp saves and removed the LIE overlay (having to reapply the base skin) which apparently solved the matter.
