Saving/Merging Environment Tab Info

Is there a way to save information from the Environment Tab (specifically Type: Backdrop and Background Image) so that it can be merged into an already loaded scene in 4.20.1.78?

Thanks in advance for any information anyone can provide - even if it's just confirmation that it can't be done without scripting.

    I wish I knew! That would be hugely helpful! Or a way to set a preset that would just load an image into the environment/backdrop tab. I know there is a way to do it with scripting but that's a pain in the tush and really should be something that can be saved and set up as a preset, IMO.
