DS library overflow - how to fix?

hello.

my library has now got to the stage where A - Z no longer fits many of the items in and culls the end off the pages, e.g. Wardrobe now ends at S, with T - Z only being visible if i reverse the view order to Z - A.

Set now finishes at T. Poses only shows up to F, and so on.

at some point eventually they will meet in the middle and i won't be able to see some items unless i filter them specifically by name.

is there any way to fix this, e.g. make it spill over onto multiple pages, or make it hold more entries on a single page?

i have kinda sorta workarounded it by sub-categorising some of the items, but the stuff that gets left out tends to go unseen and unused from then on.

i'd really like to be able to browse an entire folder if possible.

You can, but not with 'smart' content.

The Content Library->DAZ Studio Formats shows you the files in their actual (real world) locations, and if they don't fit on one page, you get more pages

Whatever the 'smart' content shows, is a virtual representation based on metadata (which can also be faulty)

  • Filtering - by category, name, tag, compatibility etc. - can reduce the number of files shown at once. You can use a script to chnage the number of files shown, but bear in mind that significantly inceasing it will have an impact on performance.

i notice the filter has problems with keywords more than 2 words deep into the name string (i think it's 2, anyway)

    e.g. i filter 'black'

it will show up 'Mens Black Business Suit'

but will not show anything for 'Mens Business Suit - Black'

----> and thanks for linking to that script Richard - a value of 2500 didn't change much but 10000 certainly did, and the loading time was ok still, certainly much quicker than the time i'd spend typing into filter boxes etc.

i can see all my poses from A up to Z now. excellent.
