The beta already requires drivers that do not support W7

I thoink your right it will be the lack of driver's and other hardware support that will be the demise of windows 7 & 8

This; I just (reluctantly) upgraded my main system from W7 pro to W10 pro. It went tolerably well, but it took me two weeks and replacing my video card to get my dual monitor configuration running correctly.

I may have to do the same, (reluctantly as well) as building a new rig is on my to do list, I already have almost all the components (W7 compatible), but apparently "end of support" meant also removing all the old updates and fixes from M$ site, so installing from scratch is not going to work and going from X99 to X299 is probably too big of a change for using the old installation.

I use quite a few programs I will need to rebuy for Windows 10+ on my Win7 so just hope it keeps going blush

browsers are ditching their support for it too but I don't generally surf the net on it anyway but do watch YouTube on it as my TV the monitor

I have a Win10 rig as well for DAZ stuff with the Nvidia card

That was one of things that really sucked having to stop using win 7,   was a lot my older programs and app that stopped working in windows 10, and upgrading most of them pretty much meant cloud renting apps like Photoshop instead of 1 time buy standalone apps. It was a conspiracy I tell ya.. conspiracy!!
