I cannot get the female genitals to show the skin color of the character. I am using base Gen 8 female and the genitals are always gray.

How do I correct this?

In order to have the genitals colored, you need a dedicated material for these. When you look at the character description, it is listed whether they include that material.

The base characters does not have this material.

You can change the UV map for the genitals so  you can use the body material. There is a freebi for that on Renderosity.
