Question about breast lift

I'm wondering if there's a loose rule of thumb for how much the breasts should be lifted up when wearing something like a bra or a sports bra, for example I'm adding about 10-20% lift with the, "Move breast up and down" dial but I wonder if anyone else here uses a better reference or guide for this sort of thing? I don't know how accurate I am with this currently and I can't seem to find much reference for this either.

 

For example I want to simulate a character wearing a push up bra, but I don't really know just how high I should push up her breasts for that effect. How would I determine something like this?

I'm unaware of a general rule of thumb despite being female myself. It really depends on the body type of the woman and the size of her breasts. The type of bra also has a bearing.  Age also has a factor because of the effects of gravity as we get older. So for some in that category more "lift" might be required than someone in their 20s. 

You might want to check out some stores that do accurate bra fitting for some guidlines. Also studing photos from stores that sell normal bras for normal women of different sizes may help.
