Clothing Converter from Genesis 8 to Genesis 9...the point ?

Can someone clarify what is the point of getting the Clothing Converter from Genesis 8 to Genesis 9 product ?

My clothes for G8 works just fine on G9 models, I don't get it....

Clothing items like dresses, skirts, suit jackets, togas, scarfs, heels and other items often have issues with distortions when you use autofit. In addition, auto fit delets any bones in clothing that are used for posing.

Of couse, if you are mostly using clothing that is less specific, you might be fine with autofit.

  • A couple of the promo images do show the AutoFit conversion next to the Clothing Converter conversion.

  • Importantly it also has the batch functions to save out multiple items. If you save a converted item, it means you don't have to go through the auto-fit dialogue and process every time.
  • Thanks for the replies, might actually be worth getting.
  • ...and you can convert shoes. Autofit on shoes is terrible, and does not work most of the time with high heels. For the majority of shoes it converts quite well. You will have to use an extra conversion tool for the foot pose, but the shoes themselves do fit quite fine.

Note also that, unless saved out as a new asset, auto-fit resaves the geometry into the scene file and can bloat your file sizes.

Yeah, that was also said about the earlier converters to G8 and they did a horrible job with heels. Got any images to show how well this one works??
